Virtual Experience
In winter 2014 New Media students developed experiences special to the virtual world. Jörg Frohnmayer gave a short introduction to the Game Software Unity 3D and discussed the possibilities of the Head Mounted Display Oculus Rift. With this setup the students developed intense virtual experiences.
Sophie, Greta, Fabrice, Pablo and Farbian - Gravity
Inspired by the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" our goal was to imitate the feeling of weightlessness in the Space. - 3D View - Gravity drags into a ring of dust and asteroids which surround the Black Hole. - Reincarnation
Sonja, Marc and Christopher - Das Candy
"Das Candy" is a little first person horror adventure. The quest is to help a unicorn to find "das candy" in an old abandoned Villa. But be careful you're not the only one in there!
Nadine, Dario and Jannik - Free Fall
"FreeFall" is an experimental game, where you can experience the sensation of falling. While falling trough two different worlds, you'll feel like passing over to a whole different place. By increasing the speed of falling, we tried to create an realistic, yet playful experience. So, if you're interested, check out FreeFall with the Oculus Rift and lose yourself in the sensation of falling.
